Sally's Ride: 10 Miles
Inspiration is one of the many words that defined Sally McHugh. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Upon learning of her diagnosis in October of 2003, she never once questioned why she had been dealt such a cruel fate. Instead, she faced each new day and challenge with grace and dignity. She continued to amaze us with her courage, strength, and sense of humor. Even when her voice was silenced by ALS her spirit and twinkle in her eye spoke louder than any words. Considered the “matriarch” of the family, she always had an ear to lend or a shoulder to lean on and always put her family and friends before herself. She enjoyed summers at the beach, photography, reading, and spoiling her seven grandchildren. Sadly, Sally passed away on October 4, 2005 but the life’s lessons she taught us will never be forgotten. She is forever imbedded in our hearts and is an inspiration to us all. We love you.
